After witnessing their three young children accidentally accessing inappropriate material on the internet, husband-and-wife duo, Douglas and Estelle Lloyd, decided to create Azoomee, a safe haven where children could be entertained safely online, thus giving parents peace of mind. Through research, focus groups and, more importantly, speaking to children and parents about their likes and needs, the Azoomee team have created an app filled to the brim with all your favourite TV shows, puzzles, arcade games, audiobooks, animated movies and creative tutorials, which get updated all the time! Azoomee is a family-safe environment where your kids can watch, play and learn.
What Azoomee means.... Meaning 'safe haven' in Japanese, the word Azoomee encompasses our very essence; an app where primary-school aged children can be entertained, educated, creative and remain safe and secure under one roof!
Being a parent is no easy task, we obviously play a major role in the way our children develop, but now we have to battle with the ever-increasing influences of social factors, technology, friends, and the media. Here at Azoomee we recognise the importance of teaching children the right values, so we hand pick all of our content to reflect our beliefs and help educate our next generation.
Azoomee has been a supporting partner of the NSPCC since February 2015. Our partnership is based on the shared belief that young children need a safe online place to be entertained and educated. We are proud to donate to the NSPCC every time someone takes out a paid subscription to Azoomee and will continue to develop our safeguarding policies together as we grow.
